Speaker 1: 82% that's eight in every 10 agents say their students still find The UK the most attractive destination. The numbers are in from ApplyBoard's Q3 survey. I'm Conrad.
Speaker 2: And I'm Eden. But here's the story behind that headline. Nearly three out of four agents report students are actively considering alternative destinations.
Speaker 1: So here are your headlines.
Speaker 2: Canada is second place in attractiveness. The UK is still first.
Speaker 1: Germany, while still very attractive and even ahead of Ireland, has seen a decrease in respondents saying it's very attractive.
Speaker 2: Australia is fourth right after The US.
Speaker 1: But the real insight is alternative destinations are gaining real traction.
Speaker 2: New Zealand was the most popular alternative destination among survey respondents.
Speaker 1: Doubling the quantity of students rating it as attractive based on past year survey.
Speaker 2: A bit of caution though, that may be due to the fact ApplyBoard's presence in India is fairly large, and New Zealand is focusing in India for its recruitment initiatives.
Speaker 1: At the end of the day, the water is still wet and students in general want affordable, high quality destinations. Australia, Canada, they will remain attractive like their government or not.
Speaker 2: But the cost of living has never been higher and students will shift destinations if necessary.
Speaker 1: Diversify your destination knowledge now will help you de risk government decisions and capture these growing markets, especially, and I can't stress this enough, if you're offshore.
Speaker 2: Students aren't just asking about the big four anymore. Germany, Ireland, Netherlands, other EU options are real choices and increasingly popular.
Speaker 1: That's The Brief. Data driven insights for international education professionals. Until next time.
